HE'S POOR, HE'S RICH

12 Jul 2012 3:26 PM | Hot Guy (Administrator)

You will wonder why there are people who are poor and there are people who are rich. When I say rich, I am not referring to millionaires. I am referring to people that have cash money savings of at least US$100,000 without debts in the United States, a comfortable residential home (not a mansion) that is already paid with one or two fully paid cars that are more than 4 years old. This life style scenario is attainable and ordinary for all the middle class and above. These people have some education, are working in one or more jobs, are receiving salaries and benefits, and are saving some money for retirement.

On the the other hand, the poor people did not finish higher education because they want it that way. When they reach the employable age, the poor, uneducated people cannot find stable jobs, thus they have no sufficient income to buy a used car, a decent house, and just stay with the relatives or become homeless and panhandlers.

The main reason why there are poor and rich people in this world is because they choose a mind-set to become poor or rich. What is mind-set?

According to The Free Dictionary, a mind-set is “a habitual or characteristic mental attitude that determines how you will interpret and respond to situations”. Mind-set refers to attitudes, views, perspectives, positions, stances, and outlooks.

Based on the above definition, if a person has a mind-set to be negative and destructive in his life, that person will not succeed in life. If that person has a mind-set to improve and envision a good life, that person will succeed. In short, a person chooses a particular bad or good cause which will give corresponding bad or good result. So, it is a cause and effect factor. For example: If I do not want to go to school, I will have only a limited knowledge. If I want to finish a 4-year accounting course, I will become a bookkeeper or accountant. If I want to take illegal drugs, my health will suffer and I might go to jail. If want to take multivitamins regularly, my overall health may improve.

God gave every human being a mind. The mind is the one that “dictates” on the human body what do to. It is the mind that tells people to:

  • Get education or become uneducated
  • Look for a job or become unemployed
  • Save money to buy a house or spend money in illegal drugs or gambling
  • Maintain a good behavior or become a bully or gangster
  • Become a good spouse or want to become violent
  • Contribute money and volunteer time to church and charitable institutions or become a pickpocket or robber
  • Learn other skills to get additional source of income or become lazy
  • Be nice and helpful to anybody or put down and disrespect everybody
  • Become a law-abiding citizen or be a criminal
  • Be honest or be a cheater
  • Consistently organized in life or unable to plan for better life
  • Always think positively or continuously think negatively
  • Work hard to become an entrepreneur or prefer an “I-don't-care” attitude

These are some of the causes and effects of actions that people take. As long as a person lives, there are so many good and bad choices to choose from. Sometimes, there are situations where some people changed their lives from being successful to become failures or from being failures to become successful persons. Why is that? It is because the people changed their mind-sets.

There are those that have money and then suddenly, start gambling until all the savings were spent and the house was sold to sustain gambling addiction until they become poor and homeless. What is the cause of the problem? Those persons changed their mind-sets to destruct their lives.

I will be discussing in another article how to create a mind-set that will help us to become successful in life.  Each one of us has to change a bad mind-set for a good one if you and I want to have a better life.

If you have a mind-set to help needy people, you can help us in two ways:

  • Please donate some money to our Scholarship Fund Raising and Solar-Powered Water Tank to help our young and poor but talented students to go to college and unemployed farmers to be employed, or
  • Contact your Facebook, Twitter and MySpace friends and followers to visit this Site, read our blog and help us financially. Thank you.
