I want to become a MILLIONAIRE in about 10 years! That's my BIG DREAM. The dream to become a millionaire came to my mind during my 20's. I did not become rich because I had no right mindset during my early years. It is only now that my dream to become a millionaire intensified when I am already in my early 60's. I strongly believe that this dream can be attained.
I am already retired with little monthly social security pension and I owed the 7 credit card companies about US$39,000. I accumulated the US$39,000 about 9 years ago which I used as down payments to buy some real estate properties in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nine years ago, the real estate business was booming and people from other U.S. states were buying properties in Las Vegas. So, I used my credit cards to finance my real estate business. In 2008, the Las Vegas economy was affected by the U.S. economic recession and the value of real estate properties went down. Some employees were laid off while some worked 3 to 4 days a week. People's disposable income decreased which caused the increase in personal bankruptcy filings. Banks and mortgage companies foreclosed real estate properties from people who were not able to pay their mortgage loans. And I was one of them. I was a victim of nationwide economic recession. Since I cannot find a job, I decided to apply for monthly social security pension to survive and pay my credit cards.
Since I am unemployed, I have more time in my hands to use all my attention and energies to make my dream comes true. I have a passion for reading financial books and writing my ideas in a blog . My question is: How will I make money and become a millionaire from reading books and blogging? So, I made a lot of Internet searches on how to make money from blogging. There were stories that some bloggers received substantial income from their blogs. Bloggers received their income from displaying advertisements, selling ebooks, becoming affiliate marketers and providing paid online courses. I noticed that the successful blogs were created 3, 5, 7, or 10 years ago. Bloggers' successes were developed and maintained gradually.
My Present Situation
I am in my early 60's and receiving little monthly social security pension. I owed the 7 credit card companies the amount of US$39,000.00. I am married. My wife and I live in a townhouse in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have a 1999 Dodge car. We have 2 grown up adults, living separately from us, with their own family.
With the above personal information, I am asking myself: How can I become rich or millionaire if I do not have big capital to invest in any type of businesses? I cannot borrow money from banks to finance my business venture. I cannot borrow money from my credit cards because there are no more available credit. And, I cannot borrow from my 2 sons because they also need money for their family expenses. These are my dilemmas. I have to make a choice and decision. Do I have to forget my dream to become a millionaire or encourage myself to stick to my road map? If there are some obstacles along the way, then I will face them and look for some solutions. If there are no solutions, I will make some deviations and go to another route or alternative. I will pray a lot so that the Almighty will guide me and give me strength to tackle the hardships, obstacles and difficulties. I believe in the saying: “If there is a WILL, there is a WAY” .
Why I Want to Become a Millionaire in 10 Years?
I decided to give myself a timetable of 10 years (from July 01, 2012 to June 30, 2022). A journey to become a millionaire will take slowly and gradually and I think 10 years is reasonable. If I become a millionaire in 7 years, it's excellent! If I become rich in 12 years, so be it!. But I have to start somewhere and sometime to “keep the ball rolling”. I know that some people will make some negative and discouraging comments like:
Nobody can predict the future of a person.
Do you think you are still alive in 2022?
To become a millionaire in 10 years is very hard to accomplish.
I do not believe that you will become a millionaire by 2022.
It's very hard to make money nowadays because of the economic recession.
You did not become rich while you were in your 20's, the more you will fail in your 60's.
You are out of your mind.
Well, those are their beliefs. I have to commit myself to the fulfillment of my MILLION DREAM and just ignore all the unproductive feedbacks. How can I accomplish my mission if I will not try. To become a millionaire is NOT AN IMPOSSIBLE MISSION. There are real stories of people who were poor but became millionaires because they wanted to. And there are real stories of millionaires who became poor because they wanted to.
